Appliance Verdict provides educational appliance-troubleshooting and decision-support information. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
Not professional repair advice
Appliance Verdict is not a licensed contractor, technician, engineer, electrician, plumber, gas fitter, or manufacturer-authorized service provider. The service does not create a professional-client relationship and does not guarantee a diagnosis, repair result, part selection, cost estimate, or remaining appliance life.
Safety and your responsibility
Appliances may involve electricity, gas, hot surfaces, water, moving parts, sharp edges, refrigerants, stored electrical energy, and hidden leaks. You are responsible for deciding whether you have the skill, tools, conditions, and exact manufacturer instructions needed to perform a step safely. Stop whenever a procedure exceeds your ability or Appliance Verdict directs you to qualified service.
Never rely on Appliance Verdict for emergency response. For smoke, fire, sparking, electrical shock, active flooding, or a gas odor, stop using the appliance and follow appropriate emergency, utility, or manufacturer guidance.
Assumption of risk
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you acknowledge that choosing to inspect, move, disconnect, clean, test, repair, or replace an appliance or component carries risk. You voluntarily assume responsibility for actions you choose to take based on information provided by the service. Do not perform energized electrical testing, bypass safety devices, open microwave high-voltage compartments, or perform regulated gas, refrigerant, or other licensed work unless you are properly qualified.
No warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Model revisions, installation conditions, prior repairs, serial-number ranges, manufacturer updates, and local codes can change what is correct for a particular appliance. Always follow the exact manufacturer documentation and applicable law.
Parts and compatibility
A compatible part is not proof that the part failed. Confirm the complete model, revision, serial-range requirements, and current manufacturer or seller fit information before ordering or installing a part.
Recalls
Recall checks are a convenience layer over public CPSC information. A returned match may require serial number, manufacture date, or other confirmation. A “no match” result does not guarantee that an appliance has never been recalled. Always review the official recall notice when safety may be involved.
Permitted use and automated extraction
You may use Appliance Verdict for ordinary personal troubleshooting and may link to publicly available pages. Except as permitted by applicable law or with written permission, you may not use bots, crawlers, scripts, scraping tools, bulk-download methods, or similar automated means to systematically extract, mirror, republish, reconstruct, train on, resell, or commercially exploit the diagnostic database, decision-tree structure, model registry, source registry, or substantial portions of the site. General-purpose search engines may crawl public pages only when crawling is allowed by the site's published robots and indexing controls.
Third-party services and links
Links to manufacturers, parts sellers, service providers, map/search services, or other third parties are provided for convenience. Appliance Verdict does not control their products, workmanship, availability, pricing, warranties, terms, or privacy practices. Commercial relationships, if enabled, are disclosed separately and do not change the diagnostic branch shown.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Appliance Verdict and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for property damage, personal injury, lost data, lost profits, or costs arising from use of or reliance on the service, third-party links, or actions taken during appliance inspection or repair. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes
We may update the service and these terms as diagnostic coverage, laws, and business relationships change. The version posted on this page applies when you use the service.
