Start with the filter
Let the dishwasher stop and cool before looking in the tub. The filter is beneath the lower rack. Look for food residue on the screen, but use your model manual to identify the release and locking method. Do not assume every Bosch filter twists or requires spray-arm removal.
Check loading and spray-arm clearance
With the dishwasher stopped, check whether tall utensils or pans obstruct the spray arms and whether dishes are nested together. Leave room for water to reach the surfaces. Move the load rather than forcing an arm.
Inspect the spray arms
With power off, inspect visible spray holes. Remove an arm only when the owner manual describes how; clips and attachment points vary. If removal is unclear, stop and choose Not sure. Do not prise clips, enlarge holes or push debris into an inaccessible passage.
Clean the dishwasher filter
